Mood swings or anxiety

Low libido
Weight that won’t budge
Infertility or trouble conceiving

If that sounds like you, it’s time to stop guessing and start testing.
What is the DUTCH Hormone Test?
The DUTCH Complete™ offers an in-depth look at your hormonal landscape.
DUTCH stands for Dried Urine Test for Comprehensive Hormones—a non-invasive, at-home test that offers an incredibly detailed picture of your hormonal health.
The DUTCH test measures:
✅ Sex hormones (estrogen, progesterone, testosterone)
✅ Cortisol patterns throughout the day (your stress hormone)
✅ DHEA, melatonin, and other hormone metabolites
✅ Estrogen detox pathways (how your body clears excess hormones)
This allows us to uncover the root cause of your symptoms, whether it's adrenal fatigue, estrogen dominance, low progesterone, or something else entirely.

The test can give us a picture into...
hormone function
how your body is metabolizing/detoxing your hormones- especially estrogen
adrenal/cortisol function
thyroid health (potentially)
Vitamin B markers
gut inflammation markers
It gives us so much information about overall hormone health and gut and liver health.

It’s not always a matter of which is better—each type of test offers different benefits depending on your goals and needs.
Blood tests are often the first step in identifying hormone imbalances. They're widely accepted in conventional medicine, may be covered by insurance, and useful for measuring baseline levels of hormones like TSH, LH, FSH, or total estrogen and progesterone. If you're working with a primary care provider or specialist, they’ll likely prefer reviewing blood work because it's familiar and part of their diagnostic process. P.S. if you order blood hormone labs through your doctor, please be sure they are testing your hormones on the appropriate day of your cycle.
However, blood tests have limitations. They offer a single snapshot of your hormone levels at one moment in time, which can miss important fluctuations—especially for hormones like cortisol, which naturally change throughout the day. Blood work also doesn’t show how your body is metabolizing hormones or whether your detox pathways are functioning well.
The DUTCH Complete™ offers a more comprehensive, functional view of your hormones:
Measures active and metabolized hormones, not just total levels
Tracks daily cortisol patterns, not just a single reading
Reveals how well your body is processing and clearing estrogen
Includes insights into melatonin, DHEA, and nutrient markers
Done from the comfort of your home—no needles, no labs
In short, blood work is helpful and sometimes necessary, especially if you’re coordinating care with a doctor. But if you’re looking for a deeper, root-cause assessment with personalized holistic recommendations, the DUTCH test is an excellent next step.
